I am a wheelchair user and they made me feel like nothing was too much trouble. We took the 11.00 trip and booked before hand which is essential when in a wheelchair. There was a lift which took me easily on and off the boat. I was so impressed with the hospitality and the whole experience from beginning to end was great. Informative and just amazing. Our platform lift has a MWL of 200kgs.
- We are pleased to welcome wheelchair users when booked in advance.
- Our boat has level access via a ramp and table lift. This is strictly for wheelchair users only and not for 'walk-ons'.
- We can accommodate a maximum of TWO wheelchairs on our regular 40 min trips, for our 11.10am departures only. You will need to be ready to board by 10.45am at the latest to allow enough time to safely emabark.
- The skipper will to conduct a risk assessment based on the type and weight of the wheelchair/user and prevailing weather/river conditions. We cannot overload our lift. We cannot take wheelchairs when the river conditions are high/flowing as we cannot guarantee to safely disembark passengers with reduced mobility at other locations, other than our home mooring.
- Please contact us with your preferred dates to check availability. We will need to know the total weight of the wheelchair and user for our lift.
- Wheelchair users (and a carer if applicable) are charged at our concession rate of £11 per person.
