School Trips
We have plenty to keep children occupied on board, including a Quiz to accompany the light-hearted but educational commentary. See the downloadable files below. Questions and answers!
The Bancroft Gardens and canal basin are in the centre of town being an ideal area to relax and have a picnic. They're also right in front of the Royal Shakespeare Theatre. You can even buy ice creams, treats, hot and cold drinks from some of the boats moored here such as Shakee’s Ice Cream Barge.
Jennifer May is fully accessible with a wheelchair lift and disabled toilet. She seats up to 60 passengers and is heated, well-lit and runs for 365 days a year, weather permitting if you want to plan a trip out of season. In the summer months all of the side windows are removable so you can get even closer to the swans, coots and geese that often follow the boat along the river.
Our Risk and Access Statements can be found below.
Most schools prefer the standard trip with the audio commentary but if it's an exclusive trip and you want to create your own theme (pirates/fairies for example), we will be happy to welcome groups of children in full costume aboard our good ship!’
