About our Trip - Standard 40 Min Tours
Our first public boat tour departs between 11:00 and 11:15am with subsequent tours departing approximately every hour thereafter. The last tour departs at around 4:10pm, although this may be earlier during winter months. The trips lasts for 40-45 minutes, boarding normally begins at 5 minutes to the hour. Please see our helpful FAQ's page for more information.
The unique trip has an informative, amusing and light commentary which is interspersed with well known classical music to complement the beautiful and iconic stretch of the river we travel on. During the trip you will enjoy unparalleled views of the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, Holy Trinity Church (Shakespeare's burial place), experience local water fowl and travel through one of the oldest working river locks in the country, which helped to fuel the industrial revolution.
We can arrange earlier and later tours if sufficient numbers of passengers request them and also private hire. We cannot give exact tour times due to other boat traffic using the canal lock and there is a small chance you may incur a short delay if the canal lock is busy on the day. These delays are rare and usually very minimal at around 10-15 minutes, the time it takes a boat to negotiate the lock. Please allow time for this if you are on a very tight schedule.
