Join us for a relaxed afternoon on the water that brings together two of Warwickshire’s best things: its waterways and its beer.
Your cruise begins in the heart of Stratford-upon-Avon with a 45-minute journey through the town’s historic lock, linking the Stratford Canal to the River Avon. Watch the boat rise and fall as you pass through a working piece of canal history, right in the centre of town.
From there we head out onto the river, gliding past Holy Trinity Church, the final resting place of William Shakespeare, with its spire framed by willows along the riverbank.
Throughout the trip you’ll be in the company of Bethan, head brewer from Windmill Hill Brewing Co, an independent craft brewery based here in Warwickshire. As you cruise, you’ll taste a selection of their beers and hear the stories behind them: how they’re brewed, what goes into them, and what makes small-batch brewing special. It’s an informal, friendly session, so bring your questions.
Whether you’re a craft beer fan, a local looking for something different, or visiting Stratford and want to see it from the water, this is a memorable way to spend an afternoon.
